Fall Is In The Air

Pumpkins, colored leaves and apple cider!

I’m supposed to go to “Fall On The Farm” at Stoltz’s Apple Orchard tomorrow…but I’m trying to beg out of it. With the rain we’ve had plus it’s only supposed to be high 50’s maybe 60! How can I sit there and spin when my fingers will be frozen!

Anyhoo, today I’m sharing Angels Landing digital stamps. I did this one for the Ways To Use It challenge on Splitcoast yesterday. Oct2 Pumpkin BirdhouseI played around with Photoshop a bit. Removed the “O” from You on the Pierced Tag (with the lasso tool), selected the pumpkin, leaves and bird on the right (with the quick selection tool), from Pumpkin Birdhouse… and put it where the “O” was!

It’s all colored with Copics and sponged with dye inks. (I miss using my distress inks, but the printer ink smears with distress ink. I guess I need a printer upstairs so I can print, sprinkle on embossing powder and heat set it like Mel does! hmmmm, I’ll have to work on that!)

The orange layer is just a piece of white cs that I took the same color Copic, as in the pumpkin, and went around the edges so it would match.

So, this got me to thinking (ouch!) about playing with Photoshop a little more. Remember, I’m still learning this new way of stamping… digital!

I used the Pierced Tag again and the Pumpkin Birdhouse, BTW they’re from the set Autumn Tweetings and created this large tag!

Oct2 Pumpkin Birdhouse TagThis time I left the leaves with the bird and pumpkin and plopped the other birdie with some leaves up top! I added several extra leaves (to cover up where the others were cut away from the pumpkin…I still need help in PS! remember, I know just enough to be dangerous!)

It’s again colored with Copics, versamarked and embossed with clear ep so I could use my airbrush system for the background.

Then, what to do with the rather large “pierced” dots…the tag itself measures 6 1/2 x 2 5/8, so those dots were as big as the smaller punch on the cropadile! I just decided to run some old yarn through the punched holes and luckily I had some paper that matched! You can still see one hole I should have erased, by the bird’s leg…oh well!

Hey, have a terrific day where ever you might be! And as always…

Thanks for stopping!

Dawn

Love both the card and the tag. What a great idea to replace the "o" with the pumpkin. Well Done!
