On The Road…

We’re on our way to Nova Scotia!!(actually I’m posting this on day 3 of the trip after much frustration trying to get my pics here and there!!) I’m trying this from our hotel so we’ll see how this works…LOL

Not a lot of pics to date. (and I hope they look ok as I can’t get into Photoshop to edit etc)

One of the highlights of the trip was getting to meet someone that I’ve known for a few years “online” from SCS, have talked to on the phone…but I finally got to give her a real live hug and gave lots of loving to Pepper too!! Joanne…(jojot). me,Joanne,Pepper pk

Wish we’d had the time to stamp together (she’s got a boatload of stuff in her stamp cave…a “room” in the basement) Thanks for everything Joanne!!!

The TRAFFIC jam somewhere outside Boston…ugh! It really slowed us down! trafficMass

This lovely, HIGH, bridge crossing some river I think into New Hampshire. big bridge

We stopped in Portland, ME to eat dinner…what an awesome waterfront place to walk! Of course I left the camera in the truck, so I wasn’t able to get any pics…=( plus it was getting dark. Interesting older gentleman parking attendant, full of stories had we had the time!! We checked out taking “The Cat” ferry across, but it didn’t go out again till Sunday morning, so we’ll just drive.

Are these gorgeous or what!! Lupins, growing wild through Maine and into Canada. These were just before we crossed over. You could smell the beautiful fragrance too before you got close!

The first border crossing (we ended up having to turn around and go to another just down the road, but this portion of the river was much prettier!

US CAThen…waiting…waiting border
in Calais ME to cross to New Brunswick.

Our ship in St John

haha…not really!!

I missed the PICTURE PERFECT shot of an eagle next to her nest!! By the time I saw it, it was too late to try to stop! Grrrr…maybe we’ll see more, I hope!

Fundy Bay2 The Bay of Fundy…one of the little coves before getting to the bay. Beautiful, beautiful landscape. Our drive has been through forest after forest, along lakes, and rivers.

Finally, late last night we reached Dartmouth Nova Scotia and our hotel…a brand new (opened in April) Hampton!! Is it ever NICE!!!

Today we’re going to head to Peggy’s Cove

Thanks for stopping…and stay tuned! I hope to have lots more to share!

Thanks for posting the pics, Dawn!! I'm glad you got to meet up with Joanne.
It looks like a really beautiful part of the world, I never got the chance to get up there. I only got as far north as Connecticut when I lived on the East Coast. Have a great time, we'll all miss seeing your creations while you're away.

hey, gf.....guess you did have some luck uploading your pics.....I'm almost afraid to tell you that you shouldn't have been in Boston traffic.....shouldn't have been NEAR Boston....if you are coming home the same way into MA....take 95 to 495 to 290, etc....helps to avoid Boston, unless you WANT to see Boston, that is...which happens to be one of my fav cities anywhere....lots of history and cool places to see....hope you are having sun at Peggy's Cove.....and...just to let you know all your pics came through fine....even the one of me WITHOUT the sunglasses....lol....well, Pepper looks cute

drive safe and ENJOY

Oh this makes me home sick!!! All your photos are so wonderful! We used to live in Maine and still consider it "home" though we've been gone 10 years. I love Nova Scotia too! Such beautiful country! Thanks for sharing!
