Llamas Go To Elm Creek Nursing Center

I can't begin to tell you the joy and satisfaction you feel when you've made someone so happy by sharing big, fuzzy animals!

Today we took 4 llamas, Buttons, Diego, Dapple and Shadow along with 2 4H kids, Wade & Ryan, mom Patty and Wade's friend Ross, to Elm Creek Nursing Center in Dayton.

It was partly cloudy with the sun peeking out every now and then, a little on the cool side, but that didn't stop the ones that could get outside to come out to see the llamas! As usual, no one had been this close to a llama before. Most couldn't get enough of them, some just watched from a distance.

Three ladies in particular would have had us stay all day! Dorothy, Clarice and Gail were so happy feeding the llamas carrot slices! Be sure to look at Gail's face as she feeds "Buttons, 1, 2, and Happy"! And Dorothy had to have her picture taken hugging Buttons!

Some of the residents just looked out their windows.

We also took them to look into the Alzheimer ward. Shadow was really funny looking at that handsome llama in the glass. It was so rewarding to see the residents smile!

The resident kitten wasn't too sure though...lol...or some of the staff.

Thanks for stopping!

I'm behind on my blog reading!! You've been very busy with the llamas and stamping (that's a given!!)....The pirate card is my fav....perfect for a 7 y/o!!
Just had to comment on the tandem riders....waaaaayyy cool!! As I type, DH and FIL are setting up camp. They loaded up their mtn. bikes with their camping stuff and headed up to the mtns. They are getting pretty good and using "stuff sacks" and doing without any extras!! LOL!!
