Pick A Technique and Fair Week!

If you're reading this on Monday we will have been at the fair for 2 days...ready to come home but not able to!
The temps are supposed to be high 80's and 90's! Tough on the llamas and ME! We're there all week until Friday when the kids have their 4H show.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week the Challenge Chicks were to choose a technique from the Cornish Heritage Farms Technique Talk forum and do a sample. If you haven't been to that forum be sure to go have a look! They're done with step by step pictures and explanations for each step...it really makes it easy to try a NEW technique! So, NO excuses, c'mon and play along with us!
I'd seen several of Keri's cards done with this technique...I'll tell you the name in a minute...I'm getting to it...be patient
And I'd asked her how she did it! They were just beautiful! She directed me to the forum where I read through her tutorial and went...........yeah right! This....?.... turns into this?
Hey, it's a challenge right? So, Shimmery Window Unveiled was my choice!
She is just beautiful! Unfortunately the camera doesn't pick up the shimmer of the gold PE! Guess you'll just have to do your own so you can see it!
This is the newest from Sandra Kuck, The Prayer. I used my Xyron on the clear sheet and Pastels to color her.
Be sure to see what the other girls did too!
Oh....she is so pretty in pink! Don't you just hate that when the camera doesn't tell the same story as the naked eye....I'm sure it is extra pretty IRL!
Thanks for sharing the technique...question~did you use the same chalks as Kerri did? Would regular pastel chalks work too? (hmmmm....I guess I could try and figure it out myself too! LOL! Just might finally find a use for my pearl ex and chalks that I have NEVER used!)
Lovely card, Dawn! I certainly would like to try this technique. I hope that you and your llamas are able to withstand the heat over the next few days.
