I Can Dream Can't I?!

The ice makes for beautiful, interesting pictures! I *carefully* took camera in hand and went about looking for some good shots this morning.
To think the lilac bush will be covered in sweet smelling, beautiful flowers soon (provided we don't get a late freeze!) It was so crunchy walking on all the frozen blades of grass, wish I could put that sound with the slideshow!

The loan Maple leaf, was so cool (no pun intended!) with ice only on one side. And I don't think the grandkids are going to want to play on the teeter-totter today............no, wait...... no school today....yeah, they'd probably be here in a heartbeat and be on it!! LOL

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tim Holtz has a cool March challenge (a variation from his 12 tags of Christmas). He explains it so well, I'm just going to let him do it! *wink*
Click on this link to see his tag and instructions.Since I don't have paint daubers yet, I just used white acrylic paint to stamp the birds.
I mixed Broken China with water and Scattered Straw with water, each in a small mister. In another mister I mixed Spiced Marigold, Copper Perfect Pearls, and water....and spritzed them on the tag.
While the tag was still very wet, I added a drop of Weathered Wood to the lower right corner and spritzed again with Broken China, then used my heat tool to move, blend and dry the colors.
The birds and how the colors turned out then inspired me to make the ocean scene......this is where the title comes in! *wink* If you looked at my slideshow of the ice we just had, it all makes sense!! lol
I added some white acrylic paint with my waterbrush to make it look like a crashing wave...it does, sort of... don't you think? Stamped the Palm Date Trees and colored them with copics. The sun is stamped in Mustard Seed, rock & rolled in Fired Brick. And the "Time" is stamped on another tag that didn't quite turn out! LOL!
That's what's great about stamping, right? Most of the time there are no mistakes, you just use the 'oops' in a different way! Flip it over, distress it, layer it.... the possibilities are endless!
