SC and Vintage Photo Tinting

This was the Sketch Challenge today on SCS, I decided to combine it with last week's Technique Talk on Cornish Heritage, Photo Tinting.
I inked up the image only (this particular stamp has the sentiment to the left of the lighthouse) with Ranger Black Soot distress ink and stamped on Georgia Pacific white cs.
I colored the lighthouse, rocks and water with prismacolor pencils using baby oil to blend. I then sponged Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, Broken China and Faded Jeans distress inks for the sky.
Now for the "Photo Tinting", I took Vintage Photo distress ink and sponged the entire area. A little sakura white and stardust gel pens here and there and my main layer was done!

I stamped Woodgrain backgrounder with Frayed Burlap distress ink then sponged with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain.
After severly distressing the edges, I sponged Walnut Stain again on the edges.

Using my Stampamajig, I stamped the sentiment in Black Soot.

I thought the twine added a 'nautical' look to the card.

Just beautiful, Dawn! Your use of colour is as always phenomenal. I like the effect of the distressing inks on the overall image.
