Stitches and Borders…on a Candle

Oct21 Stitched Candle blk

Our Angels Landing challenge today was to use the Faux Stitched Borders and if we wanted, we could mix in some Seasonal Borders.
click here<------- to see the creations.

I chose to try my hand at printing on tissue paper*, coloring it with Copics, and using my heat tool to melt it onto a candle! (Gina has a good tutorial on StampTv)

Oct21 Stitched Candle1I used the zig-zag faux stitches and just connected the dots with a fine tip marker. The snow flake seasonal border was perfect to go along with these adorable Penguin Chicks. I applied liquid appliqué and glitter foam after it was on the candle

Oct21 Stitched Candle closeupAren’t these guys just the cutest!!

*sample printed on copy paper then carefully taped my tissue paper to the copy paper and printed again

Dawn, this is the first time I've seen any of my images used on a candle. It turned out beautifully. Love how you've combined the main image of the three penguins with the sentiment, the snowflake border, and then the faux zigzag. What a great gift this would make.
