God’s Blessings…

I’m very thankful for His blessings… and happy to share in this 3 set release from Our Daily Bread designs. This one is called Thinking of You. Four verses and a beautiful flourish with a butterfly. The other sets are Friendship and Get Well and are equally as beautiful!

As you can see, I took only one of the sentiments and used an older set, On Eagles’ Wings to make my card. You know I love sentiments…and scenes!

God's Blessings Eagle

I’m sorry I didn’t take step by step pictures for you, but hopefully I can describe it well it enough you’ll understand.

I started by stamping the eagle, coloring with Copics, going over it with a Versamarker then clear embossing powder and heat setting it with my heat tool. Doing this assured me that any colors I applied after this step would not affect the eagle as it would now resist color!

Next I used a piece of scrap paper with a hole for my sun and sponged with Distress inks, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold. With the paper still in place, I smooshed (technical term) my Versamark pad over the sun (this was faster than using the Versamarker *wink*), sprinkled clear ep and heat set. Voila! Eagle and Sun ready to resist the mountains and sky!

This really is a pretty quick and easy card to throw together but looks like you spent hours…you’ll amaze your friends! *wink*

All I did for the mountains was to take a torn piece of copy paper and sponge off the edges, moving the paper to give a different angle or color. Distress inks: Old Paper, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Shabby Shutters
For the sky I just used whatever ink was left in my dauber from the sun and sponged, then used Broken China and a little Faded Jeans sponged from the top down.

Check out what some of the other Bread Sticks (isn’t that cute…get it? Bread Sticks..Our Daily Bread…lol) did with these new sets.  Angie, Chris, Dawn, Deb, Grace, Lorelie, Sandee & Silke

Keep checking in as I’ll have more samples to share, plus on the 3rd we’re doing a blog hop and you’ll have a chance to win one of these sets!!

Thanks for stopping!

Dawn
