~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

We went to lunch with some friends yesterday... Cheesecake Factory, YUM!! I took some images along to color since it's a little bit of a drive. The roads in winter are not conducive to coloring in a vehicle! LOL! This is the one I'd started and had to finish this morning. Thought she'd look cute for the sketch too... flipped!

SC269 Look At THIS One This is from Sassy Cheryl's, a digital image, Bubble Blower. Colored with Copics. The layer she's on is also Copic'd to match. It's layered on Prima Life in Colors.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday...Spring Can't Be Far Away!

Feb23 Blooming Good Day blk

Flowers!
That's our challenge today, any way, shape and form... just use them!
Keyword JBE094

It couldn't be easier especially with this darling new Pure Innocence image by MFT and this AWEsome new Flutter DP from Making Memories!!

MFT is the Featured Product this week too, so be sure to check every day for some fab samples!

Feb23 Blooming Good DayIs she cute or what?! I paper pieced her dress, cut her out and popped her up. The flower is part of the image, it was cut out and glued a little farther away than how it actually stamps. I drew in the water with a fine tip artist pen, then went over the lines with a Sakura glitter pen.

The card measures 3.5x5x5.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday...Try a New Fold!

Feb16 blk

I dare you to try something new! Get out of the "fold a piece of cardstock in half and stamp it" rut! Today's Jbelle challenge is to try a different kind of fold! Keyword ~ JBE092

Before I get to my card though, I have to share the new goodies at Jacksonbelle Embellishments, MFT stamps, Stampavie in preorder, AND Cosmo is back in stock!

I used this yummy Prima Life in Colors  DP for this Two Way Open card.  (mine is a smaller version, I used an 8x8 piece of cardstock to start with and scaled everything down from there)

Feb16 Folded BirdHe Watches Me from Our Daily Bread designs is colored with Copics and sponged with Distress ink.

Odd Colors With a Heart

WT257 blk

Now, I know what you're thinking, you're expecting to see some funky colors going on. Nope! Wrong! It's just several challenges rolled into one blog post and two cards!

The Ways To Use It challenge on Splitcoast today was "Odds are...", having an odd number of something. Then Mo's Digital Pencil #18 is All About Color... pink, red, white and had to have a heart on it.

WT257 3 Step Chickadee

Our Daily Bread designs You Will Find Refuge and Sing for Joy on the side step card... 3 steps-3 brads-3 shades of Flower Soft on this Flower Soft Garden Corners. The Chickadee is colored with Copics and embossed with clear embossing powder. The back panel is dry embossed with Distressed Lines Cuttlebug embossing folder and Martha Stewart fence punch at the top.

WT257 5 Hearts This one is Bella Hearts Bronte from Mo's Digital Pencil (actually a freebie on SNR Card Universe) It's colored with Copics, masked and airbrushed. There are 5 hearts in the air and 5 hearts in The Paper Studio punch.

New To Me Digi's!

butterfly blk

I've found another awesome digi illustrator! Sassy Cheryl's! Here's her blog too.

Ok, so I looked at the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast this morning and figured at some point today I'd get around to it. Shortly after, I purchased my first Sassy Cheryl's! Why not combine the two!

Do you ever think one of these days I'll learn to quit...to just put it down and say NO, this is crazy, DO something else! (nah, I don't think so!)

So! I got this hair-brained idea of printing 3 of the same image (Birthday Lift) and doing a whole spotlight card with the sketch! Oooweee!

SC267 Birthday Spotlight

I should have just cut that center panel rather than using Spellbinders for this particular card...but oh well! Hindsight right?

butterfly side

butterfly clsup

But then I also had to have 3 "somethings" on the top panel, duh... I'd have to cover up my picture! Necessity is mother of invention right? Sooooo, I printed, colored AND airbrushed the parts I needed for my 3 "somethings". My Martha Stewart butterfly punch was the perfect size.

3 butterfly I carefully went around the edges with my black Copic marker. Then I embossed them...

butterflyextender

*THIS IDEA IS NOT MINE*... I don't remember where I saw it, but it's brilliant! Just use a scrap piece of cardstock to make a "handle extender". I just put a drop of 2 way glue to hold it, dabbed it with embossing ink, dipped it in clear embossing powder and heat set.

butterfly powder

butterfly blk

I added some Zva bling, and just glued the butterflies down in the center so the wings could pop up some. Oh yeah, all but the base are my Cheater CS technique... a Copic marker.

There you have it! It only took me all afternoon to get this baby done! (Ok, I did have some phone calls and other things I did in between...) I'm no quitter! BWAHAHAHAHAH

Hey, thanks for stopping!

Jacksonbelle Embellishments Tuesday..The Zva Sisters!

Feb9 blk

LOVE is in the air!!!
Jbelle Challenge use colors, embellishments, etc…
that represent LOVE to you!!!
Keyword ~ JBE092

My card today is just ooozing with Love! LOL! My mind has gone several different directions since reading this challenge (no smart remaks please! lol), but I ended up with this one and included the product feature, Zva Creative too!

I used Step Sisters, Mo's Digital Pencil.
Can't you just imagine what they're saying?
"I just LOVE getting dressed up for family photos"...
"I LOVE having to go to YOUR recitals"...
"I LOVE teasing YOU...you are such a DORK!"...
"I LOVE candy AND my Froggy Prince, can we go change now??!" (I never had a sister...but I had an older brother! nuff said!)

Feb9 froggySo... I LOVE to color, I LOVE Mo's images
AND
I LOVE
Zva Creative bling!
nuff said!

Feb9 zva closeup Here are the girls before they were all bejeweled! I colored them with watercolor crayons. I used a 2-way glue pen for the bling.

Feb9 zva love And after they got all prettied up! The younger sister isn't old enough to appreciate a fine jeweled necklace, so she just has those pop-together-beads! LOL! Bad enough she HAD to get her hair curled and wear that silly ol' fancy dress anyway!

The scallop layer is white cardstock colored with a Copic. (my favorite way of cheating on colored cardstock!!)

Feb9 Zva Sisters

I used Spellbinders Labels 3 to cut a couple small pieces of Basic Grey Origins (love that stuff!) and give a little different shape to the card. And there's that "Copic colored" cardstock again punched with Martha Stewart border punches. I embossed the bottom of the base with my Victoria embossing folder.

For more Zva inspiration, check out the rest of the Jbelle rockstars!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

And might as well share a card I did this morning as long as I'm blogging...right?! lol

TLC259 It Has A Song It's a combo challenge, the technique for today on Splitcoast... Frosted Window, that Holly is so clever! and The Shining Light Challenge from Our Daily Bread designs. The frosted window is done by stamping on cardstock..., coloring your image, stamping again on vellum and coloring with lighter colors, then popping the vellum up over the cardstock image with dimensionals. (it looks better irl, trust me! lol)

The card is in the mail, on its way to hopefully bring some cheer to a friend of a friend.

stamps: sing for joy, he watches me- our daily bread designs
ink: tuxedo black
paper: gp white, vellum, generic black, basic grey nook & pantry, prism blush red dark
other: copics, spellbinders labels, scrap essentials clear bubble, the paper studio border punch, mounting tape

Enjoy your day where ever you are...

we're bracing for...

wait for it ...

MORE SNOW!! YIPPPEEEEE!!! Could get up to 8 more inches! Yeah, I'm ecstatic!
